Law Journal of the National Academy of Internal Affairs

General Principles

All manuscripts submitted to the Law Journal of the National Academy of Internal Affairs undergo a double-blind peer review procedure. This ensures impartiality and objectivity: authors do not know the reviewers’ identities, and reviewers do not know the authors. The review process is based on the principles of academic integrity, confidentiality, and the exclusion of any potential bias.

Review Procedure

The initial screening of submissions is carried out by the Editor-in-Chief or a Deputy Editor, who checks the manuscript’s compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and academic integrity standards. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are anonymised, assigned a registration code, and forwarded to two independent experts for review. Reviewers assess the relevance, originality, scientific novelty, and practical significance of the research, as well as its compliance with academic publishing standards.

Special attention is paid to avoiding conflicts of interest. The Editor-in-Chief does not take part in decisions on manuscripts authored or co-authored by themselves, by their family members, or by close colleagues, nor on papers related to products or services in which they have a personal interest. Such submissions are reviewed independently without the involvement of the Editor-in-Chief or their research group. In these cases, the final decision is made by the Deputy Editor-in-Chief.

Reviewers may recommend acceptance, acceptance with minor or major revisions, or rejection of the manuscript. If revisions are required, the authors receive anonymised reviewer comments and resubmit the revised manuscript, which may undergo a further round of review. The Editorial Board makes the final decision, taking into account the reviewers’ evaluations.

The standard review period is 2-4 weeks, and the average time to the first decision is 4-8 weeks.
