The Law Journal of the National Academy of Internal Affairs strictly adheres to the principles of academic integrity and does not tolerate plagiarism in any form.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is understood to include:

  • the use of another person’s ideas, texts, or research results without proper attribution;
  • verbatim copying without quotation marks and acknowledgement of authorship;
  • disguised paraphrasing of other works;
  • the use of tables, figures, or illustrations created by others without permission or citation;
  • the reuse of one’s own previously published materials (self-plagiarism), unless such use is properly justified and clearly declared.

Manuscript Screening

All submitted manuscripts are checked using specialised plagiarism detection software and are additionally reviewed by the editorial board for compliance with ethical standards. Plagiarism checks are performed using iThenticate.

Acceptance Criteria

  • the originality level must be at least 85%;
  • if the originality level is between 75% and 85%, the author is required to revise citations and references;
  • if the originality is below 75%, the manuscript will be rejected without the right to resubmission in the same version;
  • no more than 3% of text may be borrowed from any single source.

Consequences of Violations

If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the manuscript is immediately rejected.
