Law Journal of the National Academy of Internal Affairs

We support the responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies in scientific activities. Generative AI tools (for example, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Midjourney, etc.) can be useful for text editing, structuring material, or creating illustrations. However, their use must be transparent and ethical.

Use of AI by authors

Authors may use generative AI only as an auxiliary tool, for example:

- to improve grammar, style, or translation;

- to create visualisations based on their own data;

- to provide technical assistance during manuscript preparation.

The use of AI is not permitted for:

- generating scientific results without verification;

- fabricating or falsifying data;

- creating images or texts that may be misleading;

- replacing the author’s own intellectual contribution.

Declaration of AI use

If generative AI tools were used in the preparation of a manuscript, this must be clearly stated in the article text (for example, in the Acknowledgements or Methods section).

Generative AI cannot be listed as a co-author of a scientific paper.

Use of AI by editors and reviewers

Editors and reviewers may use AI for technical support purposes — for instance, to check language, style, or structure.
Uploading unpublished manuscripts to third-party AI services is strictly prohibited in order to preserve confidentiality.

Academic integrity

Undeclared or inappropriate use of AI may be regarded as a breach of ethical standards and may result in the rejection or retraction of a manuscript.

Policy updates

This policy may be revised in light of the ongoing development of AI technologies and updates to international publishing standards.
