Conflict of Interest
The Law Journal of the National Academy of Internal Affairs places particular emphasis on transparency in the editorial process and the avoidance of any form of bias. All participants in the publication cycle are required to declare openly any circumstances that may be considered a conflict of interest.
Authors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal factors that could influence the results of their research or the way these results are interpreted. This may include funding from foundations, institutions, or private organisations, as well as personal or professional connections that could create bias. Such information must be clearly indicated in the manuscript in a dedicated “Conflict of Interest” section, or the authors must explicitly state that no conflict of interest exists.
Reviewers are expected to decline the evaluation of a manuscript if they have personal or professional connections with the authors, are employed in the same institution, or are direct scientific competitors. If a potential conflict of interest arises, reviewers are obliged to inform the Editorial Board without delay.
Editors and members of the Editorial Board do not participate in decision-making regarding manuscripts authored or co-authored by themselves, by family members, or by close colleagues, nor in cases where they have financial or personal interests related to the subject of the paper. In such situations, manuscripts are reassigned to another editor or to the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for independent consideration.
