In this article author revealed the question about features of collecting information from open sources in activity of operational units of National Police of Ukraine against the crimes in economic sphere and also gave an ideas about improvement of this features. The most effective is using search systems are Google (http://google.com) and Yandex (https://www.yandex.com) that gives a results of search id different way. Yandex give pages and sites withal Google – general amount of links. Explained advisability of using another search systems like Rambler, Yahoo, Avanport but of course they are not so informative as Google and Yandex. Much effective is using Yandex because of it is possible to simultaneously find a pages of of person in a social networks. Using of this search system contributes to improving of practical results in tasks about detection and documenting crimes that, which will be expressed in increasing the ratio of the number of detected and documented crimes to committed crimes; reducing the level of economic crimes; correcting risk assessment and timely implementation of operational and preventive measures within the regions and the state; the adoption of fast, effective, procedural and managerial decisions, the development of effective methodology for analyzing large amounts of information; optimization of the process of collection, storage, accumulation and use of information. Using modern technologies can minimize wasting of time by officers of operational units in case of implementation of tasks and highly increase quality of their informational-searching activity.
