The last ten years the entire world community was covered by the new direction of the development under the name of globalization, which in most cases leads to the positive changes in the world. But like anyone phenomenon, globalization has its negative features. Due to the cruel pace and methods of globalization, the radicalization of the population has recently been increasingly taking place in the world and the international terrorism is being actively developed. Therefore, in order to ensure national security, in the future the world community must elaborate a common plan of measures to identify the radically minded citizens and to develop measures for the prevention and control, taking into account the particularities of each country. And therefore this is a very actual and important topic not only for Ukraine but also for the whole world. The main objective of the scientific publication is to define the concept of terrorism and to analyze the current level of terrorism within the territory of Ukraine, to examine the impact of globalization and radical religious groups to him, as well as this threat. The analysis of the legal framework and research papers, which are pertaining to this issue, provided an opportunity to highlight in the article different approaches to the definition of the term "terrorism" and its division by types, the impact of the processes of globalizationon and radicalization on the development of the terrorism, certain population groups, and severally especially vulnerable ones. The changes of the Global Terrorism Index in Ukraine during the last four years and the number of the commission of terrorist offences was explored taking into account international and Ukrainian statistical information. The study of the question of the radicalization of individuals in places of detention is conceptually new, because as a result of this process they not only lose a social danger to the community, and vice versa are beginning to engage in terrorist activity on the basis of the pseudo-religious extremist ideas. The arguments of the danger of this process were put forward, furthermore, measures to prevent and control it was proposed.
